Japanese scientists capture giant squid on film
Here's something you don't see every day, in fact it's never been seen before now. Japanese zoologists Tsunemi Kubodera and Kyoichi Mori sent a camera rig 3000 feet deep with bait on a hook. A squid took it and was hooked for four hours before it's arm detatched and the squid took off. After the arm was retrieved, it was still grabbing hold of things. How cool is that?
And let's give some credit to the reporter for using the term "squid gonads" in the article. You don't see that every day either.
