Who's the leak?

The question is: who leaked the information that the CIA is operating secret torture prisons in former Soviet-era facilities in eastern Europe?

Bill Frist, my heroic Tennessee representatve, reacted with his usual theatrics and whiny mock outrage. He urged a criminal investigation should be undertaken in order to find the culprit who damaged national security by leaking classified information. He isn't a bit worried about secret torture prisons operating across the globe, he's pissed that someone dared to blow the whistle!

Then Trent Lott said all the information that was leaked looked suspiciously close to the same information that republicans had discussed in a meeting with Cheney (where that scumfucker was trying to persuade them not to support the torture ban).

Laura Rozen says the scuttlebutt is that the leak came from one of the nine republicans that voted against the anti-torture bill, a hotshot "up-and-comer" type trying to make a name for himself.

Here is a list of those nine, and when they were elected to the Senate.

* Wayne Allard (R-CO) - 1996
* Christopher Bond (R-MO) - 1986
* Tom Coburn (R-OK) - 2004
* Thad Cochran (R-MS) - 1978
* John Cornyn (R-TX) - 2002
* James Inhofe (R-OK) - 1994
* Pat Roberts (R-KS) - 1996
* Jeff Sessions (R-AL) - 1996
* Ted Stevens (R-AK) - 1968

Hmmm, any ideas?
